A request to recover a cragfast hound which had been on the mountainside for 3 days, but only just located. Local shepherds had been unable to get to it. Some teams members went to its aid. |

A man (46 yrs) slipped on steep wet grass and broke his leg. His companion went down to the road, hi-jacked a passing car and went to Keswick MRT HQ only to find it unmanned. He then went to the local police station which was closed. The local tourist office put him in touch with 999! NB Team members only attend when called out by the police by radio pager. Go to the nearest phone! |

A man in his 20's became unable to walk after suffering knee problems. He was helped off the fell and taken to the local hospital for a check-up. |

2 young men had left Wasdale Head at 1.30 pm to climb Scafell Pike, but had not returned. (They had been lost here before!) 7 mountain rescue teams and search dogs spent 12 hours in appalling conditions looking for them. They walked in to Wasdale Head Hotel at 7.45 am. |

5 students from Liverpool were reported overdue from their climb. A search in storm-force winds and torrential rain eventually located them, cold and wet, sheltering behind a wall at the top of Heron Crag. They were escorted down. |
